PDF Troubleshooting

If you are experiencing any difficulty opening Adobe Acrobat files while using Internet Explorer 5 or 5.5 eg browser freezes or blank screen appears, then follow the options below:

Adobe Acrobat 4.0

  • Open Adobe Acrobat Reader Application
  • On file menu select Preferences > General
  • Uncheck (deselect) Web Browser Integration
  • Select ok
  • Close Acrobat Reader
  • Open browser and continue

Adobe Acrobat 5.0

  • Open Adobe Acrobat Reader Application
  • Go to Edit > Preferences
  • Click on the Options tab
  • Uncheck (deselect) Display PDF in Browser
  • Select ok
  • Close Acrobat Reader
  • Open browser and continue
