Carol Gallagher
has been appointed as the new Project Development Officer for Intercultural
Education. As such she will visit schools and teachers involved in
the NetConnect Project and may, if the school wishes, facilitate further
activities - for example, a linked activity or communication with
another project school.Carol's
role will include:
- working with
identified pilot schools to develop and promote the 'Interlinks'
resource for Key Stage 2 pupils and the 'NetConnect' resource
for Key Stage 3 pupils;
- liaising
with NICLR, ELB officers and advisory staff in development initiatives
and work for intercultural education;
- disseminating
and promoting intercultural education to wider school and educational
audiences when required at conferences, seminars and INSET;
- suggesting
a variety of appropriate teaching strategies and new learning
methodologies;
- documenting
the experiences of schools and preparing interim reports and final
project summary report in collaboration with NICLR and Education
Library Board personnel.
