This
second series of lessons based around the
themeof ‘Cultural Diversity‘ will provide you with
further activities for the exploration of inter-cultural issues.
This series of lessons addresses the overall aims of the project:
• to encourage students to appreciate how they themselves
are different, contributingto
a climate of respect for the differences present within the
class;
• to prepare students for intercultural living
in society.
Each activity will have identifiable objectives,
associated materials and tasks and will provide
the students with the opportunity to upload their
individual or collective responses to the website www.niclr.com/NetConnect.
It is worth noting that

background information for the teacher. You may
also wish to remind the students of the rules of
engagement which they devised and agreed to in
ISSUE 1 as well as the Charter of Rights which
they should be building up on an on-going basis.
